The biennial Taste of the Trail event has been the major source of revenue for the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum’s operating budget and your generous participation in this fundraiser is greatly appreciated for our continued success. Recently awarded the John L. Nau, III Award of Excellence in Museums by the Texas Historical Commission, CTHM wishes to extend our sincere thanks for your support of our achievements in the areas of historical interpretation, museum education, conservation of collections and community involvement.
Los Vaqueros, forerunners of the Texas cowboy, had a great influence on the cowboys driving cattle “up the trail,” so the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum has chose this theme to recognize the long-established Vaquero traditions and legacies at the Taste of the Trail VIII fundraising event. Underwriters are vital to our success! Underwriting Opportunities are available for specific components of Taste of the Trail, and your consideration of helping underwrite one of these unique event components is greatly appreciated. In additional to full underwriting, partial underwriting opportunities are also available. If you would like to underwrite a portion of a particular event component, please contact one of our Event Co-Chairs and they will be happy to assist you.
Underwriting donors will be given 2-4 tickets with their donation (4 tickets for donations above $2,000).
