About Taste of the Trail

On Saturday, November 9th, 2002, the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum hosted its inaugural fundraising endeavor, “Taste Of The Trail”, an evening of chuck-wagon catering, cowboy storytelling and entertainment in the picture-perfect setting in the rolling hills of northern DeWitt County. The event provided guests an opportunity to retreat from the hectic pace of modern life and share in our common appreciation of Texas‘s rich ranching legacy.

Since that auspicious beginning, Taste of the Trail has become a signature biennial event for the Museum and a key opportunity to renew our sense of a greater community, as we continue our efforts towards vitally important fundraising goals to maintain and grow our vision of a first-class regional museum in Cuero, Texas.

Proceeds from Taste of the Trail benefit The Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization, Tax ID 74-2985269. To learn more about the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, please visit www.chisholmtrailmuseum.org.
